This was on the telly the other night. Haven't tried it, but it sounds good.
Get a whole camembert. It has to be the kind that comes in
a wooden box.
Get it out and remove the wrapping.
Rub it all over with a cut clove of garlicd.
Stab it a few times with a fork.
Put it back in the box.
Pour dry white wine over and around it.
Bung it in the oven for a while.
To serve - dip new potatoes, gherkins, bits of bread, etc. in it.

Students of African-American history and aficionados of the On-U Sound System
(hello, Tom) will recall a quote from a speech by Malcolm X.
"Our ancestors didn't land on the Plymouth Rock. The Plymouth Rock landed
on them."
Last night I was delighted to discover its origin. It's from the intro to
the 1920's song "Anything Goes." You know the one....."In olden days a silken
stocking was looked on as something shocking.....etc.)"
